的確有很多歐美人士會取中文名,
例如說類似史景遷或楊甦棣的這種人,
而這兩類人當然沒有問題。
因為前者是因為他的確喜歡甚至仰慕中華文化,
他對中華文化的研究甚至比大部分華人都還要深,
他的名字也正是景仰司馬遷的意思。
後者則是因為工作需要,
他在一個充滿華人的環境工作,
取個中文名讓大家方便稱呼無可厚非。
那請問現在身在台灣、甚至連英文都講不好的人取英文名作啥?
(我可不是攻擊英文不好的人,我自己英文也不好)
他們連英文都講不好,表示不瞭解英美文化,更不用說是喜歡或仰慕;
另一方面,他們也不是在歐美地區工作,周遭也都是華人,
取英文名讓大家方便稱呼的理由也不存在,
所以,從洗頭妹到業務員,他們取洋名的用意到底在哪,
我想應該是很清楚。
