Panelist Biography
Hung-Yun Hank Lin
Hank is currently a principal scientist of the Safety Biomarker and Clinical
Pathology group in Pfizer. Hank received his M.S. in Toxicology from National
Taiwan University and his Ph.D. in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from
University of Rochester Medical School. Prior to joining Pfizer, Hank was a
Postdoctoral Investigator at AstraZeneca, a scientist at Vaxin, an associate
scientist at Taiwan Biotech Co.. Hank has published more than 15 papers in
basic and applied pathology, molecular toxicology and endocrinology.
Ying-Ja Chen
Ying-Ja is currently a scientist in a startup company, Pronutria. Ying-Ja
received her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University,
PhD. in Bioengineering at UCSD and Postdoc at UCSF and MIT. She looked for
industry jobs both fresh out of PhD and after a postdoc. In the past 5 years,
she has completed 7 on-site job interviews, including small startups (<10~30
people), medium size (300 people), and large biotech companies (1000 people).
