OPT 期間申請綠卡 - 移民

各位前輩好
我有同樣的問題想請教
我的 OPT 明年七月才到期
明年若幸運申請到 H1-B 中間會有幾個月的時間不能工作
所以我也打算先申請綠卡
但目前有位律師給我的答覆是不可能在明年七月就拿到綠卡
我記得前陣子有人回文說過
如果順利 拿到暫時的 green card 只需要 10 個月
所以我有些困惑
以下是他給我的回覆 麻煩有類似經驗的朋友幫我看一下

To get green card, it takes at least 16-18 months.
The following is the procedure.

Step 1
Alien Labor Certification Application (Department of Labor) 6 months

Step 2
Immigrant Visa Application (I-140) by Employer (USCIS) 6-8 months

Step 3
Adjustment of Status Application (I-485) by Alien (USCIS) 6-8 months
*Chinese and Indian can take longer time than above.
