說明如下:
1. 氣態水轉為液態水會放出熱量。
地球上天氣變化主要是水的三態變化的現象。
而水從氣態變成液態需要放出熱量,這是因為水分子間距變小的緣故;
同理,水從氣態變成固態、液態變成固態,其過程也會放出熱量。
2. 露點是因為氣態的水在不同溫度與壓力的環境裡,空氣所能容納的氣態水壓力有極限。
一旦達到極限,氣態水無法增加,只能以液態或固態存在。

3. 假若本來氣溫一直下降,但是到達露點時,因為空氣無法容納氣態水了,
導致氣態水開始轉變為液態或固態而放出熱量,則氣溫的降低會趨緩。
當然,還是會降低,只是氣態水會幫忙提高些溫度。
綜合以上敘述,到露點時,溫度仍可持續降低,但會比原來勢趨較和緩。
