1) SMU is not completely a private school.
Their budget this year is only 1/3 as much as last year.

2) As far as I know, only NTU, SMU and NUS have been accredited by ACRA.
Two years related work experience is required to meet CPA qualification.

3) I would say the variation of quality in students is higher at NUS/NTU/SMU
than at NTU/NCCU/NTHU/NCTU.

Self-selection also applies.

4) A fresh graduate working at big 4 (auditing) earns S$2,500-3,000.

A junior assistant president at DBS makes S6,000-7,000.

My friends told me that people working at financial sectors here are
underpaid compared with Hong Kong.

That said, your friend may be bluffing. On the other hand, he or she
may not make more money than you after adjusting stress.

5) I believe this ranking thing is a trick of Ivy Leaguers and Newspapers
