關於安比拉琴 About The Mbira/
安比拉琴（Mbira）是非洲的傳統樂器，在非洲的辛巴威（Zimbabwe），紹納族（Shona
people）演奏mbira已經有悠久的歷史，來祈求祖靈與自然界眾神的庇佑。

紹納人說：「如果我們需要雨水，我們就彈奏mbira向神靈祈求雨水，神靈就會回應我們
的呼喚，賜予我們雨水。

如果我們有人生了重病，我們就彈奏mbira，向神靈祈求健康，神靈就會回應我們的呼喚
，生病的人將會康復。

如果我們有任何生命的疑問，我們就彈奏mbira，向神靈祈求答案，神靈就會回應我們的
呼喚，指引我們生命的方向、賜予我們答案。」

The mbira is a traditional African instrument. It is played by Shona people
of Zimbabwe.

The Shona have played the mbira for more than a thousand years. It is
mentioned in their literature and is a part of their worship and rituals. The
Shona name for the instrument is “mbira dzavadzimu”, which means “mbira of
the ancestors”.

The mbira is played for important Shona ceremonies, an all-night spirit
possession ceremony. For these ceremonies the mbira is accompanied by
hand-clapping, singing,and percussion instruments.

The Shona believe that the music of the mbira connects them to their
ancestors.

一位來自日本的Mbira演奏家，是在非洲辛巴威的「Madzitateguru Mbira樂團」的成員之
一。

11年前他環遊世界兩年半，在非洲遇見了安比拉琴，於是從11年前開始每年都到辛巴威學
習這樣樂器。

紹納人都說Sumi不是日本人，他是紹納人，他所演奏出的Mbira具有靈魂，他的歌聲充滿
力量。

讓我們一起享受充滿靈魂的非洲傳統音樂吧！

A Japanese mbira player, who is the member of a mbira ensemble in Zimbabwe
called "Madzitateguru Mbira Orchestra".

11 years ago, he traveled around the world for 2 years and a half, and he
found the mbira in Africa. Since that time, he has gone to Zimbabwe every
year for 11 years.

Shona people say "Sumi is not a Japanese, Sumi is Shona people. There are
spirits in his mbira music and his voice."

Let us enjoy this amazing African traditional music full of spirits!

愛媛県出身。18歳の時にはじめての海外旅行、タイへの１人旅を経験。それを機に海外
を渡り歩き、2007年8月、飛行機をほとんど使わず陸路での世界一周を達成。この世界
一周の途中、ジンバブエに住むショナが奏でるムビラという楽器に出会い、”生きる伝
説”と呼ばれるムビラ奏者、ガリカイ・ティリコティ氏に師事する。その後、フォワー
ド・クエンダ氏、フラドレック・ムジュル氏に師事する。現在、ジンバブエでのショナ
が開催する儀式やライブ、日本でも精力的に演奏活動を行い、ムビラの普及に努めてい
る。ショナから、その歌声とムビラの音に精霊が宿っている、と信頼されるムビラ奏者
である。
