房租問題跟房東認知不一樣 @@ - 德州

租屋發生了一些問題,其實不是很確定自己是否也正確,
所以上來請教大家,希望大家能給我點意見,謝謝!!!
事情是這樣的,我的租約今年9月就到期了,
但因為12月底就畢業了,馬上要搬離,
這次就想不用續約了,因爲續約至少要半年以上,
所以就直接每個月每個月付。
當初會這樣決定,是因爲房東給的notice上是這樣寫的(一字不漏):
** Stay at your current rental rate or you can go.
Month to Month: @ $915.00 $per month- this include the month to month fee**
因此這個月,我就付了 $915。但問題來了,現在房東說我欠錢,因爲 Month to
Month 應該要根據 Market Price + 100,而不是只是 $915 per month,
也就是說,這個月他們的market price提高到 $840,我就應該付$940,
如果下個月Market price提高到 $900,我就應該付 $1000...
想請問大家,房東這樣說的對嘛?
因爲當初看notice這樣寫,我就認爲就是付 $915 直到我搬離,><
但他說,不對,Month to Month 的意思就是像他說的那樣,多少錢+$100,
不需要寫在合同,我自己應該要知道...請問是我會錯意了嘛?
