英國的科普雜誌New Scientist針對此論述，做了一個報導。

裡頭提到英國的能源政策首席科學顧問David Mackey 也蠻認真看待此研究的成果。

而該書作者的生態足跡評估結果，也獲得Stockholm Environment Institute的認可。

該機構的研究人員指出為何養狗的生態足跡如此高，主因還是含肉飼料生產過程

的碳足跡。
