未來3個月台灣的氣溫及雨量展望

交通部中央氣象局表示，未來3個月中的9月和11月台灣各地的平均氣溫將接近氣候
正常值，而10月份則以正常到偏高溫的機率較大；至於降雨量方面，以接近氣候正常
範圍的機率較大，惟9月份出現偏多雨的機會較高。

氣象局並指出，在未來3個月之中，西北太平洋地區仍將有颱風生成，各月生成個
數的氣候平均值分別為9月5.1個、10月3.9個及11月2.5個。又，今年1?8月西北太平
洋地區僅有9個颱風生成，比同期氣候平均數的14個少了5個，約少35.7％。不過，根
據最新監測資料顯示，未來3個月西北太平洋地區仍有颱風生成及發展的機會，請各
界隨時注意氣象局所發布的颱風消息。

Outlook for September ~ November Climate in Taiwan

Taipei, Taiwan--August 31, 2007- According to the Central Weather
Bureau (CWB), the mean temperature for the coming months of September and
November tends to be near normal over Taiwan, while a slightly warmer in
October. As for the precipitation, the next three months would be expected
in the near normal range except a chance of being above normal in the
month of September.

In terms of climatology, September through November is still
favorable to tropical cyclone/typhoon development in the western North
Pacific Ocean. The climate mean of typhoon formation in these three months
are 5.1, 3.9, and 2.5, respectively. Furthermore, the number of tropical
cyclone/typhoon occurred in the western North Pacific up to August this
year is merely nine, five or 35.7% less than the average 14 in the same
period. The CWB noted that, based on current monitoring data, the atmos-
pheric conditions over these three months are likely to come up to be in
favor of typhoon formation and development in this area. The public should
pay attention all the time to its latest typhoon reports.
