給Ford的petition - 生態環境討論

I often spend time thinking about the actions I take each day, and wonder
which of these have the most measurable impact on the environment.
I suspect you do too. The more I think about it, the more I feel that our
transportation choices - biking versus driving, hybrids versus conventional
cars - are significant. How we get from point A to point B can have a real
impact on our planet.

我記得美國光交通造成的污染量就佔全球的40%還是50%
(印象 有錯還請指證 總之人類光交通造成的污染量遠比一般人認知的要高得多)

只是叫Ford把新的SUV做得低汙染一點
反正他們也未必會聽...

Ford has recently begun production on the first hybrid gasoline-electric
SUV - the Escape Hybrid. This is a good first step, but Ford can -
and must - do more to improve the fuel efficiency of its SUVs.
What Ford can and should do is clean up its best-selling Ford Explorer
with this existing hybrid technology.

How do our transportation choices affect our wildlife and environment?
As we continue to consume oil, politicians and oil industry executives will
push harder to drill in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge;
air pollution will increase; and global warming may accelerate.
The time for cleaner cars is now.

這也是沒辦法的吧 再怎麼宣導再怎麼開發新能源
石油還是能夠以最低的cost提供最高的benefit
人類還是一定會把石油燒光光 把所有的碳都丟到大氣裡的
我是覺得不如趕快想個辦法把CO2抓下來吧....
像把鐵假說繼續發展下去將他實用化... 不過也沒人敢冒這個險吧 =P
必竟我們不知道的事情太多了
以我們對地球淺薄的了解 誰知道一個動作會不會造成更嚴重的後果

不過我們現在能夠做的 和大部份科學家能夠and正在做的
就是儘量拖延時間吧.... 也是滿無耐的...
