: 將二氧化碳CO2，藉由光合作用所轉化為顆粒碳，由海洋表面向深處傳輸
: 成為碳永久或暫時的儲存庫
: 大概是在講碳循環吧~~
: 碳C在 大氣-->海洋-->岩石~~cycle 通過生物幫浦維持比例這樣可以調節氣候

Biological Pump是在講CO2被海中的生物(光合藻類)固定下來
incorporate成生物體的一部份
生物死了之後被分解 成為屍體的小顆粒
或是通過食物練 成為排泄物等detritus
夠過重力的作用往下沉降
這些眼睛可見的顆粒 就是著名的海洋雪(marine snow)
等到通過pycnocline(一個海水密度改變很快的水層)之後
這些有機物的小顆粒就進入了深海的循環
停留的時間可以多達數百萬年
才有可能再被往上送回表水層 重新回到碳循環
因此Biological Pump能將大量的C02抓進深海中的能力
在現代才會這麼被重視
